WE HAVE A WINNER!
I've been working around the clock for the last few weeks, coupled with assorted holiday preparations and family issues - so there's been no blogging. But this calls for a break in the silence.
I've been following, though not blogging about, the immolation of CBS' and Dan Rather's credibility through the faked memos about President Bush's National Guard service. (All hail Powerline for uncovering the story.)
The NYT has been conspicuously absent from the front lines of this story, but they've more than made up for it with this headline. Click on it before the editors come to their senses.
A couple of years ago, this blog "sponsored" a contest inspired by a wonderful NYT headline that was a seemingly perfect combination of utter stupidity and anti-Bush spin.
I never named a winner in that contest. We have one now.
P.S. In case they change the headline, this is what it says at this time:
"Memos on Bush Are Fake but Accurate, Typist Says"
Can anyone more technically proficient than I save a screenshot?
