MORE ON KOFI ANNAN: Mr. Annan no doubt represented the international consensus that the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip is "illegal." Is that actually true? Or is it just one of those things that is commonly believed because it is repeated so often, regardless as to whether or not the relevant legal sources actually proscribe it? (Especially when combined with the nasty international habit of blaming Israel whenever possible, and half the time when impossible.)
